This next generation LightningĀ® SSD offers a feature-rich robust design combined with SanDiskā€™s innovative parallel processing architecture to deliver full data path protection (supports T10-DIF), temperature based power control, , an MTBF of 2.5 million hours and power fail protection.

Database Logging

Database logging is a write-intensive workload that allows customers to recover from failures by helping to connect primary and secondary databases. These database logs keep records of all database changes as transactions are updated and, in cases of downtime, they roll data forward through the point of failure. In cases of unplanned downtime, databases can be restored to a point beyond the last full, offline back-up, due to flash storageā€™s non-volatile memory, which preserves the last transactions prior to the downtime.

High-Performance Computing (HPC)

High-performance computing workloads consist of high-volume processing of large datasets, which greatly benefit by using flash technology. HPC includes engineering and data-intensive workloads like seismic analysis, oil and gas exploration, weather forecasting, and market simulations.
