The Hall Research FHD264-S is a HDMI over LAN Sender (Encoder) that employs video encoding to distribute multiple Full HD video signals on a Gigabit local area network (LAN). Supporting SD, HD and Full HD resolutions, the FHD264-S comes with internal video scaling capabilities so the end user can control the bit rate and scaling features depending on the connected network bandwidth.
This Hall Research sender provides a local HDMI output while also offering extracted HDMI audio on a 3.5mm stereo jack. Via the front panel LCD of this device, users can view or configure specific parameters like IP settings, multicast group selection, assignment of device names and more. This device also extends RS-232 communication and remote IR signals.
The FHD264-S includes RS-232 serial ports that can be used in SoIP mode (Serial over IP) and allows 3rd party IP controllers to command connected equipment over the network. The RS-232 port is bi-directional, which means that the controller or the controlled device can be at the Sender’s or Receiver’s end.
