ASUS RTX 4090 OG OC Edition Overvie

Based on the Ada Lovelace architecture and designed to handle the graphical demands of 8K gaming and 4K at high frame rates, the ASUS GeForce RTX 4090 TUF Gaming OG OC Graphics Card brings the power of real-time ray tracing and AI to your PC games. The GPU features 24GB of GDDR6X VRAM and a 384-bit memory interface, offering improved performance and power efficiency over the previous Ampere-based generation.
Axial-Tech Cooling
This GPU leverages the Axial-tech fan design, with three fans working in tandem to satisfy the thermal demands of NVIDIA’s high-octane design. The fans rely on dual ball bearings to ensure consistent performance and increased longevity compared to sleeve bearings. The two side fans spin counterclockwise to minimize turbulence and maximize air dispersion. The fans don’t spin when temps are below 50°C. The fans start up when temps are over 55°C, referencing a speed curve that balances performance and acoustics.
Metal Backplate & Vented Exoskeleton
A large heat sink efficiently soaks up heat from the graphics card so that it can be whisked away by the three Axial-tech fans. Most of the rear is swathed in a protective metal backplate that features a wide vent. The vent allows hot air to escape towards chassis exhaust fans instead of being recycled back into the GPU cooler. A lineup of capacitors rated to last 20,000 hours at 105°C brings higher temperature and ripple tolerance to the GPU power rail, arming the card for long-term deployment in challenging conditions.
