Blonder Tongue BIDA-86B-30PĀ Overview

TheĀ Broadband Indoor Distribution Amplifier with Power DoublingĀ fromĀ Blonder TongueĀ is a self-contained broadband indoor power-doubling hybrid distribution amplifier with RF bandwidths ranging from 54 to 860 MHz with a 30 dB gain. Designed for CATV and SMATV signal distribution systems using cable drop as a signal source, the unit’s return path bandwidth of 5 to 42 MHz is configurable to passive, which is the factory default, or integrated active return.

Attenuation over a range of 10 dB is achieved in the forward path and 18 dB in the return path. Testing without interruption of service occurs via two -30 dB back-matched test points. The aluminum chassis allows the unit to be operated at high ambient temperatures since it provides exceptional heat dissipation.

Key Features
  • Provides two-way capability with passive or active return path set by field-changeable jumpers
  • Adjustable front-panel gain and slope controls
  • Hybrid IC circuitry for high output and low distortion
  • Optional plug-in fixed equalizer and attenuator capability for input signal conditioning
  • Configurable integrated return path for passive or active operation
  • Input and output test ports
  • Large heat sinks for exceptional heat dissipation
