HDMI ELR-POL Receivers w/ Bi-Directional IR (GEF-HD-2IR-ELRPOL-R) used forGefen Modular Matrix : When paired with GEF-HDFST-MOD-8ELRPOL-S, extends HDMI and bi-directional IR up to 330 feet (100 meters). This product utilizes Gefen POL (Power Over Line) and ELR technology.

• With bi-directional IR extension, IR remote control signals can be extended from the Receiver to the Matrix IR-Outputs to control the Matrix and connected sources
• IR signals can be sent to the remote display location
• Gefen POL (Power over Link) technology supplies power to the Receiver unit over the same single CAT-5 connection without the need for a power supply

The Gefen Modular Matrix flexible modular design allows customization of the configuration for input and output cards to match every need of the system and application. The core of the system consists of the 32×32 or 16×16 Modular Matrix frame; a powerful, expandable video distribution hub that contains up to four expansion bays. Up to four are for use with input cards and up to the other four are reserved for output cards. Each input card features eight HDMI inputs. For the output cards, you can choose between HDMI outputs for direct connections to displays or ELR-POL CAT-5 outputs, if signal extension up to 330 feet (100 meters) is required. The ELR-POL Receiver unit is powered over the CAT-5 cable.
