TheĀ Rolls RM316Ā is a three-zone mixer designed to handle music for stores, restaurants, offices, night clubs, and other semi-public indoor spaces. It can distribute up to three inputs to three outputs in any combination, accepting mic- and line-level signals via banks of XLR or RCA inputs.
Plug stereo music sources into the RCA inputs, and then utilize the mono XLR inputs for functions such as Talk Over, wherein speaking on-mic automatically ducks the level of the music. Now you can page employees or notify customers of closing effortlessly. Use the DIP switches on the rear to assign Talk Over to Zones 1, 2, or 3. DIP Switches also turn on phantom power, should you need it for your microphones.
Independent zones are fed through dedicated Phoenix terminals on the rear of the unit. You’ll find remote volume and output connections on the Phoenix terminals, so you can wire individual remote volume controls for each zone if you’d like. With the remote volume connectors patched, signal can be controlled from up to 200′ away with standard wiring, and up to 1000′ with high-quality wire.
On the front of the unit, you’ll find volume pots for each mic or source. You can also assign the outputs between zones 1, 2, and 3. You’ll also find master volume knobs for all the zones. A power supply is included.
