The Active State Power Management (ASPM) mechanism built into the 950 PRO, which is similar to the device sleep mode in a SATA interface, reduces power consumption. In standby mode, the 950 PRO consumes only 2.5 mW of power, half the power consumption of an SATA (compared to 850 PRO) in Device Sleep Mode.
