Shure ULXS14/83 Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System Kit (J1: 554 to 590 MHz)

The Shure ULXS4 is a wireless receiver housed in a lightweight, portable plastic chassis and compatible with the ULX1 bodypack and ULX2 handheld transmitters. It brings reliable transmission and high-quality audio to presenters, performers, clergy, and instructors in small venues including lecture halls, conference rooms, houses of worship, musical stages, theaters, and more.

The ULXS4 features a half-rack-size tabletop chassis which can be rackmounted using separately available mounting kits. The receiver’s auto-scan function seeks out a clean channel for clear transmission; the selected frequency is entered manually into the transmitter (available separately) and you’re up and running. If the RF environment changes and interference is heard, simply rescan with the receiver and set the transmitter to the new frequency.

The Shure ULX1 is a bodypack wireless transmitter compatible with ULXS4 and ULXP4 receivers. Lightweight and comfortable for performers and presenters to wear, it provides up to 8 hours of continuous use on a single 9V battery with a fixed 20mW RF power output and a transmission range up to 300′.

The ULX1 features a locking TA4M connector with a 45 dB adjustable input level to accommodate the compatible lavalier or headset microphone of your choice or an adapter cable for guitar and bass. The unit operates on a 36 MHz UHF tuning range with 1440 selectable frequencies. Frequency selection is entered manually on the unit’s menu controls, while LEDs and a backlit LCD show essential information. Power and frequency settings can be locked out to avoid accidents.

The black Shure WL183 is an omnidirectional lavalier microphone well suited to a wide variety of interview, presentation, broadcast, and film/video applications. The mic features a TA4F connector compatible with Shure wireless transmitters.

The WL183 lav filters out unwanted low frequencies below 50 Hz and sharp highs in the range above 17 kHz to provide clear, intelligible speech for instructors, journalists, and presenters doing interviews, voiceovers, and dialog. The microphone capsule can handle SPL levels up to 125 dB, while the forgiving omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound evenly from all around the mic, helping to provide consistent levels—even when the talent turns away from the mic.

This electret condenser microphone features a 4’ cable and is optimized for a 5 VDC power source, but can operate on 1.5 to 10 VDC available through the TAFM connector on a Shure wireless bodypack transmitter or similar compatible device. A snap-fit windscreen and a smaller foam windscreen are included, along with a modular lapel clip that offers 90° rotation for optimal mic placement. A single-mount lapel clip and a double-mount lapel clip are also provided.
