TheĀ Shure ULXS4Ā is a wireless receiver housed in a lightweight, portable plastic chassis and compatible with the ULX1 bodypack and ULX2 handheld transmitters. It brings reliable transmission and high-quality audio to presenters, performers, clergy, and instructors in small venues including lecture halls, conference rooms, houses of worship, musical stages, theaters, and more.
The ULXS4 features a half-rack-size tabletop chassis which can be rackmounted using separately available mounting kits. The receiver’s auto-scan function seeks out a clean channel for clear transmission; the selected frequency is entered manually into the transmitter (available separately) and you’re up and running. If the RF environment changes and interference is heard, simply rescan with the receiver and set the transmitter to the new frequency.

Shure ULX2/BETA87A Wireless Handheld Microphone Transmitter with Beta 87A Capsule (J1: 554 to 590 MHz)
TheĀ ShureĀ ULX2/BETA87AĀ is a handheld wireless microphone transmitter compatible with the ULXS4 and ULXP4 wireless receivers. Lightweight and easy to use, it runs for up to 8 hours on a single 9V battery, with a fixed 20mW RF power output and a transmission range up to 300′.
The unit operates on a 36 MHz UHF tuning range with 1440 selectable frequencies. Frequency selection is entered manually on the unit’s menu controls, while a backlit LCD shows essential information. Power and frequency settings can be locked out to avoid accidents. 25 dB of adjustable gain allows the mic to accommodate a wide variety of speaking and singing styles.
The ULX2/BETA87A comes equipped with the Beta 87A supercardioid condenser capsule designed to withstand extreme sound pressure levels, while still delivering a remarkably smooth frequency response for vocal performers and presenters. The capsule features a supercardioid polar pattern that offers excellent rejection of off-axis background noise, helping to reduce feedback. The interchangeable capsule design allows you to replace the Beta 87A capsule with a Shure capsule that’s ideal for your application and simply screw it onto the transmitterāincluding the SM86, SM58, Beta 87C capsules, and more.
