Add fast, high-capacity internal storage to your desktop computer or server with the Fusion Dual 2.5″ SSD RAID PCIe Card from Sonnet, which supports dual 2.5″ SATA III SSDs, operates using the PCIe 3.0 x2 bus, and fits into a full-height, full-length PCIe slot. This card employs a hardware RAID controller and can drive data transfers up to 1000 MB/s. Users will be able to configure the separately-sold SSDs as RAID 0, which provides increased performance, RAID 1, which provides 1:1 data redundancy, SPAN, which creates a single, large volume, or JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks), which is good for working with a greater number of audio tracks. Also featured is a 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port which can be used to connect additional external storage, as well as charge devices with up to 15W of power.
The Fusion Dual is compatible with the Mac Pro (Model IDs 5,1 and 7,1) running macOS 10.12.6 and later, as well as Windows 10, Server 2019, and 2016, and Linux 5.0 and later. Included are eight drive mounting screws and protection is provided by a limited 2-year warranty and lifetime technical support.
Please note that the Fusion Dual is currently not compatible with the 2019 Mac Pro (Mac Pro 7,1) if it is running macOS Big Sur.

Install Two 2.5″ SATA SSDs Into a PCIe Card Slot
If you need faster, high-capacity internal storage for your desktop computer or server, 2.5″ SATA SSDs are the cost-effective choice. Sonnet’s Fusion Dual 2.5″ SSD RAID PCIe card enables you to upgrade your system in a flash, mounting one or two SSDs (sold separately) with up to 16TB capacity in a single, full-length PCIe card slot, with no power or data cables, adapters, or mounting trays required.
2-Drive Hardware RAID 0 Performance
Install the Sonnet Fusion card into a PCIe 3.0 slot of a computer or Thunderbolt 3 expansion system and achieveread speeds of up to 1000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 965 MB/s. If you’re still using a Mac Pro 5,1 Tower, you’ll get speeds of up to 800 MB/s.
RAID 0 Disk Striping
This increases performance by interleaving data into blocks (stripes) across two or more drives simultaneously to increase speed.
Fast RAID 1 Performance
Looking for the safety of a simultaneous backup? RAID 1 performance with read speeds of up to 560 MB/s and write speeds of up to 500 MB/s may be obtained with a compatible computer or expansion system.
RAID 1 Redundancy
If the primary drive crashes, the mirrored drive with automatically replace it.
Hardware RAID Controller
A high-performance RAID controller manages the SSDs you install, supporting Fast (RAID 0), Safe (RAID 1), Volume (SPAN) and, particularly important to pro audio users, JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks) configurations, so you can choose the mode that best suits your needs. Choose RAID 0 for the best performance, RAID 1 for mirrored backups, SPAN to create a single large volume that bridges both drives, or JBOD to work more more audio tracks. Regardless the mode you select, changing the configuration is easy, with no software to install or jumper blocks to move around, a turn of a switch and the press of a button is all it takes.
USB Type- Port
Sonnet’s Fusion Dual 2.5″ SSD RAID card also includes a 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port that supports data transfers of up to 1000 MB/s and provides up to 15W of power to support bus-powered devices. This lets you connect a fast external drive without installing another card.
Thunderbolt Port? Connect Two SSDs Through One Cable
Got a Thunderbolt connection, but no PCIe card slot? The Fusion Dual 2.5″h SSD RAID card provides full performance and is ideal for use in a Sonnet Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 2 to PCIe card expansion systems. The combo enables you to add two SSDs plus a USB Type-C port to a Mac or Linux computer with Thunderbolt 2 or Thunderbolt 3 ports, or a Windows computer with Thunderbolt 3 ports.
UASP
The USB attached SCSI protocol supported under macOS 10.12+ and Windows 10.
Hot Plug
Hot-pluggable and hot-swappable device connections are supported.
Boot Support
The ability to boot from this card is currently not supported.
