AMT Q7-LSĀ Overview
TheĀ AMTĀ Q7-LSĀ is a true-diversity wireless microphone system for saxophone that includes a clip-on transmitter with an LS sax mic and a single-channel, half-rack receiver. The system offers 100 preset, user-selectable operating frequencies in the 902 to 928 MHz band to choose from, and it’s simple to use while providing professional quality sound.
The Q7 transmitter works with all AMT instrument microphones featuring a TA3 mini-XLR connector to plug into the transmitter, allowing you to swap out the sax mic for other microphone options (available separately). The LS mic for saxophone included in this configuration offers an adjustable gooseneck for optimal positioning and aĀ shockmount that absorbs most of the handling noise produced by the instrument’s keys and valves. The transmitter simply clips to the bell of the instrument and sends wireless audio to the receiver at a range of up to 328′.
The all-metal, half-rack size receiver features dual antennas with true-diversity reception to reduce interference and dropouts. The system offers 100 preset, user-selectable operating frequencies to choose from and a backlit LCD screen. Once a frequency is selected, the transmitter is easily synced to the same channel via infrared. Additional transmitters and receivers (available separately) can be added to expand the system for additional musicians, allowing you to use up to 5 systems at once in the same channel group. The receiver provides both a 1/4″ and an XLR output for connecting to a wide range of audio gear. Two antennas, rack ears, and a 1/4″ connection cable are included.
