Power professional PA speakers with the ultra-efficientĀ Ashly EcoTour 500.2, a 2-channel power amplifier that delivers up to 500W of power per channel (1000W bridged). The unit incorporates Ashly’s proprietary ultra-efficient D-MAX amplifier technology for the cleanest and most reliable performance with lower power draw. Additionally, the 500.2 can power a variety of speaker types including Low Z (2, 4 & 8 Ohms) to Hi Z (70 or 100V).
The 500.2 is 2 RU and can be mounted into a standard 19″ rack enclosure. The rear panel features combo XLR-1/4″ and Euroblock inputs, as well as speakON outputs. Each channel features a switchable 80 Hz HPF and Clip Limiter. The front panel provides a volume control knob for each channel and comprehensive LED indicators for levels and amplifier status.

Ashly’s all-new, proprietary D-MAX technology brings together smart, cutting-edge amplifier design, a brand-new ultrafast switching power supply with silicon carbide semiconductors and diodes, and intelligent power management to deliver ultimate efficiency.
- When current and voltage are exactly in phase, current demand is reduced and efficiency increased. Dynamic Power Factor Correction tracks current continuously to maintain accurate monitoring abd control.
- Silicon carbide semiconductors boost both speed and efficiency and are significantly faster than the old-school pure silicon of the past.
- Traditional silicon semiconductors donāt shut off instantly. They have a lag time called Switching Loss, leading to a residual tail current. From an audio-quality standpoint, this makes for a sloppier, less precise sound; from an efficiency standpoint, it sucks up unnecessary power.
- Instead, Ashly is pioneering the use of silicon carbide semiconductors. They have unique electrical characteristics that render them able to switch on and off far faster than conventional silicon. The result is an amplifier design thatās faster (thus better audio fidelity) and more efficient.
- Power amplifiers need cooling. In most amps, heat-reducing airflow takes a convoluted path in and around internal components. Front-to-back, back-to-front, and side-to-side, those nice perforated grilles look simple until you look inside the amp and see the helter-skelter airflow.
- Ashly didnāt want cooling air to just wander around inside the EcoTour chassis, so it came up with its unique SailFlow architecture, which directs internal airflow strictly over the areas that generate the most heat, rather than arbitrarily over the whole amp. This keeps the already highly efficient EcoTour Series even cooler and assures reliable, stable operation, even under heavy loads.
