AVPro Edge offers the ConferX 8×4 4K HDMI Matrix Auto Switcher as an ideal audio-video distribution solution for professional and higher education settings. This device delivers stable video distribution at up to 4K60 resolution. The 8×4 switcher features multiple input and output options for both video and audio signals, and is compatible with AVPro Edge ConferX receivers and transmitters (available separately).

I/O and Control Features
This video distribution platform accepts up to ten video input signals. Eight HDMI ports are available for direct input of video signals with resolutions up to 4K60. Additionally, two RJ45 ports accept HDBaseT input when paired with select AVPro Edge transmitters (available separately). These devices provide support for video input over Mini DisplayPort, VGA, and USB-C. Two HDMI and two HDBT output connections support multiview with up to four images displayed simultaneously. While embedded audio can be received via HDMI, the device includes four SPDIF optical and 5-pin block connections for dedicated audio input. An additional 3-pin block connection receives audio signals from lectern microphones and other presentation devices.
End user experience is simplified by the ConferX 8×4 switcher’s interconnectivity with other ConferX modules available from AVPro Edge. Configuring output signals is made easy by Quick Switch, an intelligent software tool that adjusts signal speeds to ensure remote and local connections switch simultaneously. This is particularly useful for temporary sources, such as personal laptops brought by presenters. The switcher comes with an IR remote for speedy operation of the device from short distances while other control methods may be utilized via a LAN, RS232, or Micro-USB connection for use with the AVPro Edge Web UI or an external control system.
