Blonder Tongue MDDMĀ Overview
TheĀ MDDM-860 Micro ATSC/QAM to NTSC Audio Video Demodulator and DecoderĀ byĀ Blonder TongueĀ receives one input signal in ATSC 8VSB (digital off-air) or QAM (digital cable) format and delivers one NTSC composite analog video and stereo audio output. The unit allows you to view a digital off-air program on an analog TV set. Headends processing analog broadcasts using Blonder Tongue’s MIDM demodulators and MICM modulators can be upgraded to process digital broadcasts by replacing the MIDM with a MDDM.
The unit features a front panel custom mini USB to RS232 interface connector for program control. The front panel provides up and down control channel selection and a two digit display to identify the program channel as well as a 1 digit RF channel display to indicate the frequency/channel plan.
