The MIC 550 Outdoor Day/Night Infrared PTZ Camera (NTSC, Black) with two 850 nm, long-life, LED Infrared (IR) illuminators embedded in the camera head provide clear illumination for up to 197’ (60 m) in total darkness, ensuring high quality images.

The camera features a 1/4″ EXview CCD image sensor, 28x optical zoom, and a 3.5 to 9.8mm varifocal lens, and captures clear images at a resolution of up to 550 TVL. A minimum illumination of 0.0082 lux (ICR-ON mode) makes the camera suitable for surveillance at night.

The WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) function enables the camera to adjust to extreme lighting environments (marked by high-contrast and harsh backlit scenes) to capture clear images. In addition, a removable IR cut filter enables the PTZ camera to switch between color and B&W as per the changes in ambient lighting. Furthermore, the SensUp Control feature enhances sensitivity by automatically reducing the shutter speed to 1 sec. Equipped with an automatic gain control, this surveillance devices adjusts the signal strength to maintain a constant brightness level. Once the brightness level is controlled, the Sodium Vapor White Balance mode restores the original color of objects in the image.

Brushless motor technology enables smooth operation with 360° continuous pan rotation and 270° tilt control. This PTZ camera allows for small increment pan/tilt speeds ranging from 0.2°/sec to 120°/sec for accuracy. Its twist-lock on-site canting capability allows the camera to be installed upright, inverted, or canted (at a 45° angle) to achieve the perfect field of view.

Integrated Autoscaling (proportional zoom) and Autopivot features allow the camera to automatically rotate and flip, so that tracking a subject is effortless. With the innovative CTFID (Configuration Tool for Imaging Devices) feature, you can remotely change the camera’s settings as well as update firmware. You can use the OSD (On-Screen Display) to quickly check critical parameters of the camera such as internal temperature and input voltage level, and verify if the dome is functioning within acceptable operating limits. In addition, the advanced built-in diagnostics ensure easy servicing and minimize downtime.

Privacy Masking allows you to mask 24 specific portions of a scene for security reasons, and up to 8 masks can be displayed on the same scene where each masked area can be programmed with 3, 4, or 5 corners to hide more complex shapes. Besides this, the camera lets you choose the mask color or blur a portion of the image.

The camera is well equipped to deliver uninterrupted surveillance under harsh conditions. An integrated silicone wiper and a reversible rain shield ensure that the camera will continue to capture of high-quality images regardless of the installed environment. In addition, the IP68-rated housing is vandal-resistant thanks to its solid aluminum construction and corrosion-resistant and waterproof coating (Alodine 5200). Should the camera be submerged underwater, the O-ring-sealing will enable it to function up to a depth of 3.3′ (1m).
