The PRO-2000 is an extraordinary device offering incredible colour consistency and output and truly vibrant detailed colour photographic prints which really do bring images to life. Newly developed LUCIA PRO ink coupled with Canon’s wider single printhead technology and sturdy chassis design means faster printing with more accuracy than ever before. With Canon’s Advanced Colour Calibration, a multi-sensor, which utilises the same lens technology as EOS DSLR cameras, measuring variations in density on a printed calibration chart and then automatically applying any appropriate adjustment to ensure an exact match for long-term consistency.

The PRO-2000 can handle roll and sheet media – in particular the super fast roll loading is a huge bonus – simply feed the paper edge forward and shut the door to allow the printer to load the paper all by itself.

The built in Accounting Tool allows the user to accurately track individual job costs which is essential for every business.

As with all the PRO-series devices, the Print Studio Pro Plugin offers enhanced print management from Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom. One of the features we especially love in the Print Studio Pro Plugin is the single click option to show and print multiple colour range patterns on a smaller sheet so you can choose the perfect colour before you print your full size image – so handy!

INKS – The Canon PRO-2000 Printer has a 12 colour pigmented ink system with Canon’s new LUCIA PRO ink – specifically developed to deliver a stunning colour gamut and impressive tonal expression. The PRO-2000 Printer comes with a generous set of 160ml introductory ink cartridges in the box giving you plenty to set up and start printing straight away, and the replacement ink cartridges are available from stock in three sizes. ‘Hot swap’, as with most Canon models, allows the user to change the ink ‘on the fly’ and not waste any valuable time or paper. ORIGINAL CANON SUPPLIES – The Canon PRO-2000 is only intended to be used with genuine Canon cartridges with a Canon original chip. Cartridges using a non-Canon chip may not work and may damage your machine or the printhead. GDS stock the full range and only supply original Canon supplies for the Canon PRO-2000.

DUAL ROLL – The optional Dual Roll Unit (RU-21 – 1152C001AA) can be purchased either with your Canon PRO-2000 machine or separately at a later date.  Dual roll offers the opportunity for dual roll feed (two different grades or sizes ready to go) or can be switched to allow print take up. Longer print runs can be wound onto the spindle (face in or face out depending on the finishing technique required later) to enable the user to store them safely until ready to finish. Choose to add Dual Roll from the drop down menu before purchase.

CONNECTION – The Canon PRO-2000 Printer is dispatched with a free data cable – you can choose a 5mt Ethernet Cable for connecting the machine to your network or a 5mt USB cable for connecting it to your PC or Mac – we will check which type you require when raising and processing your order.

MEDIA – The Canon PRO-2000 takes a huge variety of media rolls from 297mm up to the full width 610mm and sheets can be individually loaded should you require a specific small run on a specific sheet media. You can choose from our ranges of uncoated, coated matt, photo satin, gloss and lustre, film, canvas, banner and self adhesive media, providing a wide range of choices across all print types. DELIVERY – In most cases we would highly recommend having your PRO-2000 installed by our trained engineers. They will be able to set up the printer and give training which can be critical for a swift start to your printing and will inevitably show the end users features and functions that may really help with their workflow. Obviously some customers choose to take the free pallet drop delivery and set up the machine themselves. You can see the options on the drop down delivery choices and also fully explained in the ‘Dispatch’ tab. DUAL ROLL UNIT

The optional dual roll unit for the Canon PRO-2000 provides either additional paper roll or functions as a media take-up unit for printed output meaning that your printed images can be continuously rolled onto the second roll, without cutting, for easier handling later on.  This avoids individual prints falling into the basket and is much more efficient for very long print runs.  Media take-up can be performed with the printed surface either on the inside or on the outside allowing the user to choose. This is useful where a double sided media roll can be prepared for the second print or when protecting the printed side of the roll ready for trimming the finished prints.

CHROMA OPTIMISER

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-2000 series printers use transparent Chroma Optimiser ink to improve high quality print performance on gloss papers.

COLOUR CALIBRATION
