Cisco is pleased to introduce the new Cisco Catalyst 3750-X and 3560-X Series Switches. The Cisco Catalyst 3750-X and 3560-X Series Switches are an enterprise-class lines of stackable and standalone switches, respectively. These switches provide high availability, scalability, security, energy efficiency, and ease of operation with innovative features such as Cisco Stack Power, IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) configurations, optional network modules, redundant power supplies, and Media Access Control Security (MACsec) features. The Cisco Catalyst 3750-X Series with Stack Wise Plus technology provides scalability, ease of management and investment protection for the evolving business needs. The Cisco Catalyst 3750-X and 3560-X enhance productivity by enabling applications such as IP telephony, wireless, and video for borderless network experience.

Cisco Catalyst WS-C3560X-48T-L is 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports standalone switch with no stacking option in LAN base feature set. Four optional network modules and license-base software feature offer flexibility, scalability and feature extensibility in order to reduce the cost of development of business needs. LAN base feature set provide up to 255-Vlans and comprehensive layer 2 feature with static routing and SVI interface supporting. WS-C3560X-48T-L is designed for enterprise access layer switching; however, customers can transparently upgrade the software feature to by purchasing either IP base license or IP services license to activate layer 3 capability, 1005 VLans supporting. WS-C3560X-48T-L switch comes with one default power supply module, customers can purchase additional power supply insert into power supply bay 2 in order to power redundancy.

Cisco Catalyst 3560-X Series Switches support 4 optional network modules for uplink ports (Figure 1);
The default switch configuration doesn’t include the uplink module; 
When purchasing switch, customers have flexibility to choose any group of network modules described below:

Dual Redundant Modular Power Supplies

Cisco Catalyst 3750-X Series and 3560-X Series Switches support dual redundant power supplies (Figure 2);
One power supply is shipped with the switch by default;
Other power supply/suppliers can be purchased when ordering the switch or next time according to your needs.
If only one power supply is installed, it should always be in the power supply bay 1.
