The Cisco SPA232D is a Multi-Line DECT ATA that delivers enhanced mobility, is affordable, highly reliable and connects an analog phone or fax machine to a Voice-over-IP (VoIP) service provider. It will also intelligently route calls to the public switched telephone network (PSTN).

The Cisco SPA232D includes an integrated DECT base station that is used exclusively with the Cisco SPA302D Multi-Line DECT Handset, which provides a mobility solution for users who frequently move about their location and also must be reachable around the premises. The handset and DECT base station provide up to 165ft of wireless range indoors, or up to 980ft of range outdoors, in ideal conditions.

The SPA232D offers support for essential voice features such as:

The SPA232D includes one RJ-11 FXS port that connects a standard analog phone or fax machine and one FXO port to connect to the PSTN. The SPA232D FXS and FXO lines may be independently configured through software, either by the service provider or the end user. Users are able to take full advantage of broadband phone service, enabling intelligent “hop-on, hop-off” applications which can route local calls from mobile phones and land lines to a VoIP service provider, and conversely.

The Cisco SPA232D comes with two 100BASE-T RJ-45 Ethernet interfaces which connect to a home or business LAN, and an Ethernet port can connect to a broadband access device. By using international standards for voice and data networking for reliable voice and fax operation, it can be used for residential, small office or home office (SOHO) ENVIRONMENTS as well as businesses, including full-featured hosted service providers using Broadsoft, Meta Switch or open source IP-PBX solutions.
