With full support for MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC (H.264), and HEVC (H.265), this industry-standard card module meets the most stringent requirements for today’s broadcast applications, offering compatibility with existing openGear frames.

Two independent 1080p60 input streams, or a single UHD 4Kp60 input stream are supported, with UDP and RTP streaming protocols, which may be expanded to include others, such as RTMP and SRT with optional software license add-ons. The unit also offers 4:2:0 8-/10-bit decoding, upgradeable to 4:2:2 with an optional license, and multi-standard NTSC and PAL support for 480i, 576i, 720p, 1080i, 1080PsF, and UHD 4K video.

Full Audio Support
Eight channels of digital audio or four stereo pairs are inherently handled by the card, with MPEG-1 Layer II, AAC-LC, HE-AAC, Dolby AC-3/EAC-3 and LPCM (SMPTE-302M) as well as Dolby AC-3/EAC-3 pass-thru. With an optional audio board, the decoder supports up to 16 audio channels or eight stereo pairs per SDI output.
