High-end broadcast applications have future-proof, format-integration expectations and theĀ Cobalt 9992-4ENC-4K-HEVC Software-Defined Broadcast EncoderĀ is a state-of-the-art, multi-channel, broadcast-grade encoder card that keeps your workflow one step ahead of the curve. Fully supporting MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC (H.264), and HEVC (H.265) formats, this industry-standard card module meets the most stringent requirements for today’s broadcast applications, offering compatibility with existing openGear frames.
Four independent 1080p60 input streams, or a single UHD 4Kp60 input stream are supported, with compatibility with all network protocols. The unit also offers 4:2:0 8-/10-bit decoding, upgradeable to 4:2:2 with an optional license, and multi-standard NTSC and PAL support for 480i, 480p, 576i, 720p, 1080i, 1080PsF, 1080p, and UHD 4K video.
- Support for arbitrary down-scaling input video, extending down to 320×240
- Support for up-scaling input video (future release availability)
- Interlaced to progressive conversion
- Progressive to interlaced conversion (future release availability)
