The Genelec 9401A System Management Device for Audio-over-IP Networking works by converting AoIP streams (ST2110, AES67, and Ravenna) into AES/EBU outputs, providing 16 channels of digital audio over the unit’s DB-25 connector.
The 9401A features a dedicated subwoofer AES output and a flexible auxiliary stereo AES output. The converter is fully compatible with Genelec’s UNIO Platform, which supports bridging in-room and personal headphone monitoring with maximal accuracy. It also offers full support for room adaption from the company’s powerful Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software.
Note: The 9401A is compatible with all Smart Active Monitors and Subwoofers (SAM) except the 8320A.

- The 9401A enables the smooth integration of Smart Active Monitors and Subwoofers (SAM) into SAM system layouts, from stereo to immersive.
- Multiple SAM Subwoofers can be connected to extend low frequency output for LFE or flexible Bass Management.
Immersive Formats
- A single 9401A supports all popular immersive formats, such as 9.1.6.
- Using several 9401A units allows the channel count to be extended further, supporting even larger configurations, such as 22.2.
