Make your observation and conduct lab studies using the Ken-a-Vision Digital CoreScope 2 Microscope. This versatile four-objective monocular microscope can be used as a cordless or plugged-in device and feature four achromatic objectives, a 2.1MP camera, and a precision mechanical sample stage. The optical system of this microscope delivers clear, crisp, and vivid images using its four achromatic objectives, which are made from a special optical glass that causes minimal color distortion. The optics are also compliant with the DIN standard, which means that you can use any other optional DIN objectives on this microscope. With the included 10x eyepiece you will see a wide field of view and can take advantage of the integrated pointer. All the elements have been crafted from environmentally-clean lead-free glass and have been treated with special anti-humidity coatings that protect lenses from moisture and algae growth, which is common in hot and humid regions. For ergonomic viewing, the eyepiece is inclined 45°. To ensure that images are bright and have good contrast, the scope is outfitted with a bottom LED illumination system, whose brightness can be controlled using a built-in rheostat.
To obtain ideal image sharpness, the focusing system provides coaxial coarse and fine adjustments with a knurled knob. Using the built-in 2.1MP camera with a CMOS sensor, USB port, and the included software, you will be able to stream your data live and capture high resolution images and videos (at up to 30 fps) on your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer.
Also noteworthy is the professional-type precision mechanical stage. The stage offers two Vernier knobs (with graduations) for a precision motion control of your sample in the two horizontal axes. For securely holding your sample in place while you conduct alignments and observations, the stage also has a lockable metal sample bracket. If you need to make illumination contrast variations or change a light spot size, the lower part of the stage houses an adjustable iris diaphragm. To ensure a strong construction, necessary for a repeatable precision operation for years to come, the frame is made of cast aluminum and offers an arched back that can be used as a carrying handle.
