Matrox C420 Overview
For digital signage and other applications which require a reliable graphics card, theĀ Matrox C420Ā can support up to four simultaneous outputs while using a passive cooler to eliminate noise. To keep a low-profile and single-slot width form factor, Matrox implemented four mini DisplayPort terminals for output. Each terminal supports resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 for detailed images.
Included with the graphics card are drivers and software which allow you to customize a multi-display layout to fit your application. You can mirror displays, extend desktops, and ensure that your images line up across all displays. You can also split displays into halves and quadrants to display more information. An edge overlap feature allows you to blend multiple projected images for a seamless, high-resolution projection. Bezel management compensates for the space taken up by the monitor bezel in geometric configurations for undistorted representation across multiple screens. Multi-monitor desktops can be set up in any combination of portrait and landscape orientations. You can even mix and match for specific workflows.
This card is cooled using a passive heatsink. Since it uses no fan or other moving parts, it is silent and reliable under constant use. This type of card works best in tower cases with unrestricted airflow. Already installed is an ATX bracket for use in most common tower cases. For use in smaller systems, a low-profile bracket is included.
