The 4-bay Rackmount NAS features a short-depth chassis, allowing it to be installed in a shallow rack, which saves valuable floor space, making it the ideal solution for growing businesses. The 4-bay Rackmount NAS includes Seagate NAS HDD drives featuring NASWorks  technology, which supports customized error recovery controls, power management and vibration tolerance for optimal performance and reliability. In addition, the 4-bay Rackmount NAS is equipped with hot-swappable drive bays and dual Gigabit Ethernet ports to help increase uptime and keep your business running.

Powered by the performance-optimized Seagate NAS OS and featuring a 2.13GHz dual-core Intel Atom processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, the 4-bay Rackmount NAS delivers impressive file transfer performance of up to 200MB/s. Plus, built-in support for iSCSI enables maximum performance and compatibility for virtualized environments.

Collaboration, sharing and anywhere access are brought together seamlessly with the integrated Wuala cloud service and business-focused apps for Windows, Mac, smartphone and tablet. In fact, the 4-bay Rackmount NAS includes a 3-month trial for Wuala secure cloud backup. The service, built into the Seagate NAS OS, enables simple and secure offsite backup to Wuala’s geo-distributed cloud storage. All data is first encrypted before leaving the 4-bay Rackmount NAS, and only the user retains the encryption key, for best-in-class security.
