The Shure ULXS124/85 is a wireless combo microphone system including both a hands-free lavalier mic and a handheld mic that brings reliable transmission and high-quality audio to presenters, performers, clergy, and instructors. In addition to the portable ULXS4 receiver, this configuration includes the ULX2 handheld transmitter with an SM58 mic capsule and the ULX1 bodypack transmitter with a WL 185 lavalier mic. The system is suitable for lecture halls, conference rooms, and houses of worship as well as performance spaces, musical stages, theaters, and more.

The ULXS4 receiver features a plastic, half-rack-size chassis that is simple to use. The receiver’s auto-scan function searches a 36 MHz UHF tuning range with 1440 selectable frequencies available, seeking out a clean channel for clear, interference-free transmission. Manually enter the selected frequency into the transmitter and you’re up and running. If the RF environment changes and interference is heard, simply rescan with the receiver and set the transmitter to the new frequency.

The ULX2 handheld transmitter features an interchangeable mic capsule design and is equipped with the legendary SM58 cardioid dynamic capsule, an industry standard for vocalists and presenters.

The ULX1 bodypack transmitter features a TA4M input with an adjustable input level. The included WL185 lavalier microphone offers a cardioid polar pattern and is optimized for speech intelligibility. Both transmitters provide up to 8 hours of operation on a 9V battery and a transmission range up to 300′.

Note: While this system includes two transmitters, only one can be used at a time. The ULXS system can be expanded with additional components to allow up to 40 wireless mics to operate simultaneously in the same space.

The WL185 lavalier condenser microphone is built for clear vocal reproduction when using a PA system.The mic features a cardioid polar pattern that rejects unwanted noise, Commshield RF Filtering to minimize RF interference from nearby smartphones, and a tailored frequency response optimized for speech intelligibility.

Adding UA874 active antennas or PA805 passive antennas increases the range of your system and offers increased protection against interference.

The UA844+ antenna distribution system (available separately) lets you stretch the power of your antenna pairs, giving you more on-air channels in less setup time.
