Thor IPRF-16QAMĀ Overview
ThisĀ IP to 16 RF Agile QAM Edge ModulatorĀ fromĀ ThorĀ is a versatile all-in-one device that can convert up to 1024 IP transport streams in UDP/RTP into 16 nonadjacent QAM Channels. This high-density IP to QAM modulator takes content delivered via an IP backbone or CDN system and modulates it onto digital QAM cable channels for distribution over coax.
Housed in a 1 RU chassis, it supports two individual Ethernet inputs, each capable of injecting up to 840Mb/s, outputting all programming onto a single RF F-type connector for easy integration into your RF coax infrastructure. This single RU form factor enables you to create your own IP to RF headend within one chassis. All QAM Channels and IP inputs are managed via the NMS RJ45 port on the front of the unit, allowing quick and easy access to your programming through Thorās user-friendly GUI. The IPTV programming input follows the standard headend format, supporting UDP/RTP unicast/multicast IGMP v2/v3 addresses and port format. This high-density design allows a single chassis to convert an IPTV Ethernet backbone feed into digital cable QAM channels for straightforward distribution.
