TP-Link TL-SG2218P Overview

Expand your office or business network capacity to handle IP cameras, access points, VoIP phones, and other powered devices with the JetStream TL-SG2218P 16-Port PoE+ Compliant Gigabit Managed Network Switch from TP-Link. This managed rack-mountable switch features 16 PoE+ compatible Gigabit Ethernet ports with a 150W budget. There are also two Gigabit SFP ports for high-speed fiber uplinks. With its 36 Gb/s switching capacity and 26.8 Mpps forwarding rate, the TL-SG2218P provides smooth data transfers.

The broad range of L2+ and L3 features allows you to configure and manage your network to best suit your business’s needs. A host of security features includes an Access Control List (ACL), Storm Control, and DHCP Snooping to help defend your network against threats. Use the Omada Software Defined Networking platform to manage your connected network devices remotely with the Omada app.

The Omada Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform integrates access points, switches, gateways, and other network devices to provide high efficiency, security, and reliability. Configure, manage, and monitor your network using a single interface, from almost anywhere in the world, through the cloud portal interface and Omada smartphone and tablet app.

Optimized Video & Voice Traffic
Advanced IGMP snooping cuts unnecessary traffic by intelligently forwarding multicast streams to the appropriate subscribers, while IGMP throttling and filtering restrict each subscriber on a port level to prevent unauthorized multicast access. Voice and video traffic can be prioritized based on IP address, MAC address, TCP port number, UDP port number, and more to help ensure smooth broadcasts and clear calls, even when bandwidth is limited.
ISP Features
sFlow, QinQ, L2PT PPPoE ID Insertion, and IGMP authentication features are included with service providers in mind. 802.3ah OAM and Device Link Detection Protocol (DLDP) offer easy monitoring and troubleshooting of Ethernet links. ISP features can only be configured in standalone mode.
IPv6 Support
IPv6 functions such as dual IPv4/IPv6 stack, MLD snooping, IPv6 ACL, DHCPv6 snooping, IPv6 interface, Path Maximum Transmission Unit (PMTU) discovery, and IPv6 neighbor discover help to ensure that your network is ready for the Next Generation Network (NGN) without having to upgrade your hardware.
