Compatible with Windows, Mac, Android, Linux, and Chrome via plug-and-play and an integrated 6.6′ USB 2.0/1.1 Type-A cable, the A31 features a 2.0MP 1/2.7″ CMOS sensor that provides crisp, clear images with an 84° horizontal field of view and resolutions of Full HD 1080p, HD 720p, or VGA 480p, all of which support frame rates of 30 fps for smooth motion. The A31’s video quality is further strengthened by automatic white balance, a glass lens, and a focusing range of 11.8″ to infinity. Thanks to an omndirectional mic that can pick up audio from 9.8 to 16.4′ feet away, high-quality audio is ensured with a signal-to-noise ratio that is greater than 48 dB.

Aside from broadcasting, the A31 is also able to record video using Apple’s QuickTime Player. Also featured is automatic low light correction with a minimum illumination sensitivity of 10 lux and an LED light that lets you know when the camera is in use. Additionally, to use the camera’s internal mic, make sure it is selected as a “USB Audio Input” within your application of choice. If you’d like to connect the A31 to a tripod, there is a 1/4″-20 threaded mount.
