This TeraStation features a capacity of 16TB, which is configured as 4 x 4TB SATA III 6 Gb/s 3.5″ hard drives. It is powered by a 2.1 GHz Intel Atom C3538 Quad-Core processor and 8GB of ECC memory. Connectivity includes one 10 Gigabit Ethernet port, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, and two USB 3.0 Type-A ports. RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10 provide performance, data redundancy, or a combination of both, and security is enhanced with AES 256-bit encryption. Snapshot and Snapshot Backup
Thanks to snapshot and snapshot backup functionality, restoring files after editing mistakes or accidental deletions can be done easily and fast. Backups can be performed without errors during the day while employees are working on the files. This makes the TS6400RN an ideal file server solution for companies working with CAD data and photo or video editing agencies. Performing snapshots regularly is also a great measure against ransomware attacks.
Cloud Ready
Buffalo’s TeraStation Series features B-Sync, which allows users to easily synchronize files between their TeraStation and 3rd party cloud services to make backups. The Buffalo NAS supports Dropbox, OneDrive, and Azure.
iSCSI Target Support

Replication with TeraStation
By replication, a folder in two separate TeraStations is synchronized almost in real time. This only happens in one direction (not bi-directional) from the source to the destination. This function can be set up in LAN and WAN. WAN setup includes remote connection via port forwarding and VPN setup.
Allocation of Disk Quota
Hard disk quotas prevent the misuse of storage space by allocating appropriate amounts of storage to users.
