Bundled together for high-quality lecture, presentation, and house-of-worship applications that don’t require permanent installation, this B&H Kit includes the 19″ Earthworks FM500 FlexMic Series Cardioid Podium Microphone, a desktop base with an attached 9.4′ cable, and a foam windscreen. This condenser mic handles high SPLs up to 139 dB while its cardioid polar pattern provides up to 32 dB of rear rejection, allowing it to produce clear, distortion-free sound and reduce the likelihood of feedback.

To ensure stability in placement, the desktop base is weighted and features nonskid feet. Its angled connector helps to keep the visual profile low and make positioning the mic easier. This kit can be used with any XLR-equipped mic preamp that supplies 24 to 48 VDC phantom power.

The Earthworks FM500 is a professional podium microphone with a flexible gooseneck and sensitive cardioid capsule. As expected with Earthworks, the FM720 delivers pristine audio quality and accurate speech reproduction at up to 90 degrees off-axis. The microphone features a standard 3-pin XLR male base for easy installation into desk and podium flange mounts. The flexible gooseneck provides accurate, quiet microphone positioning. The incredible intelligibility and range make the Earthworks podium microphones a perfect choice for speech in conference rooms, lecture halls, houses-of-worship, auditoriums and more.

Cardioid Polar Pattern

This version of the FM500 podium microphone features a cardioid polar pattern for better intelligibility at the off-axis sections, while minimizing feedback.

Flat Frequency Response

The flat 50Hz to 20kHz frequency response is optimized for speech. The natural low frequency roll-off eliminates noise and proximity effect.

Adjustable Gooseneck

Adjustable gooseneck provides quiet capsule positioning.

High SPL Handling

Senal CXBS-1 Desktop Base for Gooseneck Microphones

The Senal CXBS-1 is designed to safely mount a CX series or other XLR gooseneck microphone on a desktop, tabletop, or podium, without having to permanently install it. Its weighted base ensures stability and prevents the mic from tipping over or wobbling when it is bumped or moved. The angled XLR input connector maintains a low profile to keep the mic from blocking the speaker’s line of sight.

To keep the microphone steady, five nonskid feet resist slipping on smooth or slanted surfaces. The CXBS-1 is compatible with the CXGN-12C and CXGN-18C Senal gooseneck microphones, as well as with other XLR gooseneck mics.
