Description

The VS-211HDxl from Kramer is a high-quality automatic switcher for 3G HD-SDI video signals. This auto swticher uses a multi-standard option, meaning it can handle SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G HD-SDI. When configured as a standby switcher, it switches to the secondary input when the primary input is lost, which makes this a great product for use as a backup switcher in broadcasting as well as in post-production studios. This device is HDTV compatible, has a maximum data rate of 3Gbps, is controled through contact closure or by automatic switching. The Automatic Standby Switching feature on the VS-211HDxl makes it so switching from the secondary input to the primary input is done automatically when the primary signal is detected. There is also a default input switch for selecting the default SDI master source signal, and through contact closure remote control for forced operation. With the compact size of this automatic switcher 3 of these units can be rack mounted side-by-side in a 1U rack space using the optional RK-3T from Kramer.
