Wireless adapter for camcorders and decks [mobile network 3G/4G/LTE/Wireless LAN]

 

Enables easy transmission of content over a wireless network significantly accelerating the ENG workflow
The CBK-WA100 adapter connects directly to a camera and allows XAVC proxy files to be created and then saved on an SD card in the adapter. The CBK-WA100 is then able to upload the proxy content and the original high-resolution content or perform QoS Live Streaming (depending on the model) via 3G/4G/LTE/wireless LAN* to a broadcast station, on-premises server or to a cloud environment such as XDCAM air.
Compatibility information
CBK-WA100 is compatible with any camcorder/device with HD-SDI output and 12 V DC (Hirose 4-pin output). Recommended usage is for below products (please note decks require addition of USB interface).

PMW-50, PMW-RX50, PMW-100, PMW-150, PMW-200, PMW-300, PMW-400, PMW-500. PDW-850, PXW-FS7, PXW-FS7M2.

Tablet or smartphone control via wireless LAN
By supporting wireless LAN connectivity, the CBK-WA100 allows tablets or smartphones to interact with it and control it via Sony’s Content Browser Mobile application. This connectivity for XDCAM camcorders allows users to remotely control the camera on their mobile device, and review content without having to connect a monitor to the camcorder.

* For wireless transmission, wireless LAN/3G/4G/LTE dongles are necessary. For wireless LAN dongle, Sony’s “IFU-WLM3,” 2.4GHz wireless LAN dongle or CBK-WA02 (2.4GHz & 5GHz) are available. As for the Cellular Modem dongle, the recommended model differs from country to country depending on the carrier.
