Built with a dual-core processor, an AES-NI hardware encryption engine, and Btrfs file system support, the DiskStation DS220+ 2-Bay NAS Enclosure from Synology is a compact NAS designed to streamline your data and multimedia management. It features smooth data sharing, video streaming, and photo indexing, as well as well-rounded data protection and recovery options. The DS220+ is equipped with two drive bays that are capable of natively supporting 3.5″ SATA hard drives, as well as 2.5″ SATA hard drives and SSDs. Using its Gigabit Ethernet port, this NAS is capable of sequential reads of up to 225.98 MB/s and sequential writes of up to 192.21 MB/s, as well as encrypted reads of up to 225.99 MB/s and encrypted writes of 195.2 MB/s.

Also featured are two USB 3.0 Type-A ports for connecting external devices, and network connectivity is achieved via the dual integrated Gigabit Ethernet ports that support link aggregation and failover, allowing your stored data to be shared with users throughout the network. Data may also be made remotely available through the free iOS and Android applications. The Synology DiskStation DS220+ 2-Bay NAS Enclosure operates on 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz and includes an accessory pack, a 60W AC power adapter, an AC power cord, and two RJ45 LAN cables. It is protected by a limited 2-year warranty.
