Each of these hot-pluggable 20-pin SFP modules features a single LC connector, and they work as a pair to overcome mixed cable issues by multiplexing duplex communication onto a simplex cable to transfer at up to 1 Gb/s as far as 6.2 miles while operating at 1310 or 1550nm wavelengths. Additionally, the transceiver modules can be used with multimode cables, supporting transmission distances of up to 492 feet. Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) is also supported.
