Encode SDI or composite video for IP streaming output with this PEG PLUS MPEG-2/H.264 Digital Video PEG Channel Encoder from Drake. The unit features one HD-SDI input and an RCA composite input that support video up to 720p/1080i, which are remotely switchable. The unit then encodes the video in H.264 or MPEG-2 for IP output via a separately available SFP Ethernet module.

Audio options include encoding of Dolby Digital, AAC, or MPEG1-Layer 2 stereo audio from the embedded PCM source. The built-in RJ45 Ethernet port provides management and control of the encoder via IP. When the separately available SFP Ethernet module is utilized, the encoder supports VLAN and QoS streaming/traffic management, PNG logo embedding, and SNMP V2. The PEG PLUS can be mounted side-by-side with a second PEG PLUS onto a 1 RU rackmount using a separately available panel.
