The MX-0808-H2A-MK2 4K60 HDR 8×8 HDMI Matrix with Downscaling & ARC from WyreStorm is an updated 18 Gb/s matrix switcher that can independently route eight 4K video sources to eight displays. Individual scalers provide downscaling of 4K to connected 1080p displays without affecting the UHD 4K sources. ARC (Audio Return Channel) from smart TVs enables audio to be brought from apps like Netflix or Prime Video to an external audio system. The analog audio outputs have been updated to balanced connections to eliminate loss in fidelity.
Video Scalers
  • Each of the eight HDMI 2.0 outputs incorporates a 4K to 1080p downscaler.
  • This enables you to use a mix of 4K and 1080p screens at their highest potential without affecting 4K sources.
Up to DCI 4K60 4:4:4
  • This matrix supports the latest video formats up to DCI 4K60 4:4:4 video at rates up to 18 Gb/s.
  • It also supports high frame rate HDR 12-bit 4:2:2 up to UHD 4K60, all in uncompressed HDMI.
ARC Support
  • All eight HDMI outputs support ARC (Audio Return Channel) from smart TVs apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, etc.
  • The ARC audio can then be sent through either the digital S/PDIF or balanced analog outputs to an A/V receiver or stereo amplifier.
Audio De-Embedding
  • The matrix features both balanced analog and digital S/PDIF.
  • This enables you to easily de-embed audio from either the HDMI inputs or ARC to a secondary audio distribution system without the need for external adapters or converters.
